America’s Got Talent aired their first live show Tuesday night. It was the first time some of the acts were able to perform in the iconic Radio City Music Hall. A few acts were swallowed by the huge stage, others owned it. Wednesday night was the results show, and we fond out who America voted through. Only four acts of the 12 are able to patch through.
Before we get to America’s decision we have a special performance by Labrinth featuring Emeli Sande. They sang Beneath Your Beautiful. This is such a great song and their performance was touching.
After their performance we have a few of the contestants onstage. Nick Cannon calls forward Aarylin and Izzy, Alexanderia the Great, and Kevin Downey Jr. The act going through is none of them. Howard tells them they were all great but he was not surprised. I was a little surprised Kevin Downey Jr did not go through.
He then calls Special Head, Fresh Faces, and Hype. The act closer to headlining a show in Las Vegas is none of them. Again 2 sets of acts in a row who did not go through. This was not surprising because they were not given great feedback from the judges.
The next acts to step forward were Tellavision, Collins Key, and the Kristef Brothers. Nick announces the Kristef Brother are the first to move forward. Mel said she is so happy for them. He doesn’t let the other two acts leave. One will stay and one will go. That act moving forward to the semi finals is Collins Key. I completely agree with America’s decision he is so talented. Heidi calls him the next David Copperfield.
The last three acts left are Branden James, Anna Christine, and American Hitmen. There are two spots left in the semi finals. The act moving step closer to the million dollars is Branden James. Howard absolutely believed in him, and knows he’s in good shape for this competition. Only one spot left and it is between Anna Christine and American Hitmen. This time the judges have to decide who will go through. Heidi is the first to chose and that is Anna Christine. Then Mel B chooses American Hitmen. Howie votes American Hitmen. It is up to Howard to make the decision. He chooses Anna. The acts are tied! The decision will be left to America. The act going into the semi finals is Anna Christine! What a show.
You never know what direction this show will take. Next week there are a whole new set of acts. America votes once again, cannot wait for next week.
