Last night the judges started the elimination process for the Radio City Music Hall competition. They re auditioned acts who they thought needed to prove themselves worthy of New York City. Tonight there a few more contestants left to show what they are capable of. The first group is the Kid musicians. Aaralyn and Izzy are the brother sister act. She is the little girl that screams like a hard metal rocker. Again we are left in awe how such a dark voice comes out of such a little girl. Then there is Chloe Channel. She is adorable and a little country singer. She did a good job but in this stage in the competition you have to be great. Next is Genesis Nava. The first time she auditioned was with her dad. This time she will do it on her own. She is nervous but sings her way into the judges’ hearts once again. Making the decision difficult. Lastly is Ciana Pelekei. She is the oldest of this category and has a singing voice of a much older girl. She sings a blues inspired song. The judges realize that this category is going to be really tough.

Next is the Magic category. First is R.J Cantu. He elevates a woman and then makes her disappear. This is something we have seen, nothing new or exciting about this. Following this act is Naathan Paan. He uses jokes and magic. The only thing is his jokes are bad but his magic is good. He made doves and a cage disappear. Another act is Collins Key. He is the youngest magician in this year’s acts. He hands Heidi an empty envelope, and asks her to sign it and then sit on it. He then pulls out Howie’s book, and asks him to place a card on any random page. Mel B is asked to read the page number the card is in. Heidi is asked to read the first word of the page. He then hands the book to Howard. He asks Howard to open the book. The page is no longer there, Heidi grabs the envelope and she opens it and the page is inside the envelope. Following Collin is Aariann Black. Her act had some trouble because it was not as smooth as it should have been. She had one of her assistants pass through her body. Giving the illusion she went through her. The problem is that you could easily see the mistake and the trick flopped. Lastly is Illusionist Leon Etienne. He had his assistant balance on a needle like pole. It was ok, again nothing out of the ordinary.

The next category is Novelty. First was special head, he claims he uses special powers to levitate and so on. This time he used his power by laying almost flat back but still maintaining his body upright. Then came Kennedy Davenport. He is dressed as a female dancer, entertainer. Next was Megan Piphus she is a ventriloquist. This was a little confusing because there were times where she did not move her lips or her puppets. There might have been a mistake there. Lastly was Lil Mike, and Funny Bone. They’re act is just silly. They are small people so they dance and its entertaining. They did have a tough time because one of them messed up. The judges did not think they took it seriously enough so they sent them home immediately.

The last group is male singers. First onstage is Dave Finley. His raspy voice and guitar make him unique and talented. Marty Brown follows suit and he a great country singer. Following Marty is Paul Thomas Mitchell. He is the youngest of the male singers. He has a boyish look to him, also talented in his own way. Lastly we have 2 opera singers. Jonathan Allen and Travis Pratt. They are both great and different. They bring something new to the competition; it’s just a matter of who is better.
The judges start revealing who they chose to go to New York. Some of them are surprises, and others are obvious winners.

Next week we head to radio city music hall for the live shows! America’s Got Talent air Tuesday nights on NBC.
