An arrest warrant for wrestler Ric Flair has been issued, since he hasn’t paid his estranged wife over $32,000 in spousal support.

According to the Charlotte Observer, the wrestler, born Richard Fliehr, was ordered to pay $4,000 a month to Jacqueline Beems, his estranged wife. The money would have gone to car payments, health insurance and other legal fees, but even after two court orders to do so, Flair still owes her $32,352.51.

On July 3, an arrest warrant was issued. Flair still has a chance to pay Beems the money and avoid going to jail.

In an interview with the Observer, Flair blamed his son’s death and his own health problems for not being able to pay on time. “The reason I didn’t pay my ex-wife the 32 grand is because my son died and I was in the hospital for a month. I was in the hospital for a month with a blood clot. I didn’t go to work for three months,” he told the paper.

Flair’s son Reid died in March and was only 24-years-old. The autopsy found that Reid had a mix of heroin and prescription drugs in his system.

Beems’ attorney said that Beems isn’t aware of Flair’s current location and called claims that she made threatening calls to Flair’s girlfriend, “unfounded and outlandish.” Still, Beems did turn herself in Tuesday and was charged with making a harassing phone call. She was released on $500 unsecured bond.
