Pretty Little Liars actress Ashley Benson has taken to Twitter to apologize for making fun of troubled actress Amanda Bynes.
Benson posted a picture of herself imitating Bynes on Instagram Wednesday with the caption, “Doing my Amanda Bynes look this afternoon.” In the selfie Benson is seen squinting one eye and doing her best duck face, similar to photographs the former Amanda Show actress has posted on Twitter. After posting the picture, Benson received a series of negative comments.
The post has since been deleted.
On Thursday Benson took to Twitter to apologize for the photo writing, “To clear up the whole Instagram thing, I had no idea what her situation was. Truly sorry if I offended anyone.”
Bynes is currently being held on 5150 psychiatric hold after setting fire to a driveway in Thousand Oaks, California. Yesterday a judge ruled to hold Bynes for an additional two weeks so doctors can thoroughly diagnose her. Her parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, are currently seeking a temporary court ordered conservatorship.
