Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have finally tied the knot.
This past Monday, July 1st, Avril and Chad got married in the south of France at an estate. The two are known punk-rockers and they did their wedding in a typical “gothic” manner, completed with Avril wearing a black gown according to the LA Times. The candlelit ceremony took place at Chateau de la Napoule medieval castle near Cannes with 110 guests there to celebrate the couple’s happy day.
The two met last summer when Avril was recording her fifth album and after only four weeks of dating, Chad popped the question.
“I wanted to make sure it’s a crazy vacation and an experience of a lifetime for our guests,” said Avril according to HELLO! Magazine. They went on to tell HELLO! that while their wedding was a group effort, Avril had been planning this fairytale wedding in her head for a long time, so Chad let her take the reins on the event.
“We hope to be together forever,” said the blushing bride.
