False reports hit the Internet this weekend that Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroger tied the knot on Saturday. They are set to marry Monday July 1.
E!news reported that the couple were not married, but intend to very soon and are having a 3-day celebration. The 28-year-old singer will marry her fiancé Kroeger this coming Monday in the South of France.
“We want it to be unique and special and we want it to be a very big event but at the same time it’s small and it’s just close friends and close family,” Avril said at the Billboard Music Awards. “Of course [Chad] has been really involved. He’s also been really cool with just letting me kinda taking the wedding in the direction I want to take it in.”
According to UsWeekly, the couple collaborated for their weeding song. "We'll have to release it after," she said of the song they wrote together.
