Details into the wedding of Avril Lavigne and Nickleback frontman Chad Kruger are beginning to seep out, revealing that the 28-year-old singer donned a stunning, non-traditional, black wedding gown when she married her rocker beau.
Lavigne and Kroger wed on Canada Day, a day special to the couple as it was the day they went on their first date. Lavigne confirmed the news on Twitter the following day, linking to Hello Canda magazine which features the beautiful bride all dressed in black.
The “Complicated” singer donned a black tulle Monique Lhuillier gown for her special day, carrying black roses, hair long and a crown of flowers around her head.
Kroeger and Lavigne wed in front of 110 guests in a romantic candlelit ceremony.
"When you've got that ring on your finger that you get to look at every single day, and you get to call that other person husband or wife, it's a really special feeling," the groom gushed.
Adds the blushing bride, "We hope to be together forever…One day down the road we'll have a family. I look forward to growing with Chad."
