While the world awaits the arrival of the first royal child of Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, the royal mint has announced to expecting parents in Britain that any child born on the same days as William and Kate’s bundle of joy will receive a special silver penny.

According to E! News, 2,013 pennies will be made available to children born on the same day as the royal infant, and will come in a blue or pink pouch depending on the gender.
Parents wishing to receive a special penny must first register on their official Facebook page.

Shane Bissett, director of commemorative coins at the Royal Mint, explained via a statement, "The birth of the royal baby will be a joyous occasion not just for Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge but also for the whole nation. It will also be a special day for many mothers and fathers across the country as they too welcome the arrival of their new baby, hence why we wanted to extend this historical moment to them with a lucky penny."

Kate’s due date is July 11, she is slated to give birth at St. Mary's London Hospital. The Royal couple has not announced whether they are expecting a boy or a girl.
