Ben Affleck has been casted as the lead role in the movie adaptation of the best-selling novel titled Gone Girl.
Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn is a novel about Nick Dunne (Affleck) and how his wife disappears on their fifth wedding anniversary. In the events that follow her disappearance, Dunne has to prove to the world that he didn’t kill her, but not everything is as it seems in their marriage.
E! reports that while Reese Witherspoon (along with Leslie Dixon and Bruna Papandrea) is producing the movie, she will not be casted in it and that the lead female role of Amy Dunne has yet to be casted.
Affleck will be shooting Gone Girl while simultaneously directing and acting in his new movie titled Live By Night, a film adaptation of a crime novel by Dennis Lehane who also wrote Gone Baby, Gone. Live By Night is about a man’s rise from petty thief to the Gulf Coast’s most successful rum runner.
