The controversy surrounding season 15 of Big Brother continues after Big Brother After Dark showed a much more racist and homophobic side of a handful of this seasons competitors. This time, railroad conductor Spencer Clawson is on the whim of losing his job after live feed shows him referring to openly gay contestant Andy Herren “Kermit the F**.”
TMZ reports that Union Pacific has released a statement on their website to address the homophobic and racist comments he made on the show.
“The values represented by Spencer Clawson's comments during the Big Brother show do not at all align with Union Pacific's values. Mr. Clawson is on unpaid leave of absence while participating on Big Brother. Union Pacific does not condone his comments,” the statement reads. “Union Pacific is acting in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement terms regarding Mr. Clawson.”
Clawson is one of a handful of contestants to find that their racist, homophobic and sexist comments are affecting their out-of-show lives. The controversy, which first surfaced last week, caused New York Pageant coordinator GinaMarie lose her job after she said that Asian-American houseguest Helen Kim should “get to the kitchen” and “make some rice” as well as claiming that she has “ni**er insurance.”
Texas native and aspiring model Aaryn Grimes lost both her modeling contract and her work with Bella Petite Magazine after they caught wind of her comments.
