Viewers of CBS’ Big Brother are taking a stand following racist, homophobic and sexist comments made by three of this seasons houseguests. Last week’s ratings saw significant drop in viewership after the comments were made public.

Deadline reports that the Big Brother 15 saw a series low on July 3 dropping two tenths in ratings, averaging 5.4 million viewers and a 1.6 demographic rating, Edge on the Net reports.

This season of Big Brother has become a hot topic after comments made most notably by 22-year-old model Aaryn Gries and 32-year-old pageant coordinator GinaMarie Zimmerman aired online. The women are seen and heard spewing anti-black, anti-Asian and anti-gay comments. Both women have since lost their jobs.

Spencer Clawson, 31, has also been called out by his employer after slamming openly gay contestant Andy Herren and praising Hitler.

Big Brother host Julie Chen opened up about the racist comments, admitting that Gries’ comments toward Asian-American contestant Helen Kim “stung” and reminded her of being bullied back in the ‘70s.

Big Brother airs every Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday.
