Bill Cosby is set to star in his first stand-up concert special in 30 years. Comedy Central confirmed on Friday that the legendary comic’s summer shows at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center will be edited together for a special.

Far From Finished, the name of the special, will debut on Nov. 24. It was directed by Robert Townsend and executive produced by Darryl M. Bell, Judi Marmel, Robert Hartmann and Stu Schreiberg. The special was produced by Levity Productions.

Cosby offered a really short statement, explaining his decision to make the special was “Because . . . funny is funny.”

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Bill Cosby: By Himself, a special that featured Cosby joking about family, dentists and raising children. The success of the special lead to the creation of NBC’s The Cosby Show, which premiered in 1984, notes USA Today.

In other Cosby news, he has been hosting a tournament to let fans decide which is the best sweater he wore during the Cosby Show. It’s down to two choices and the voting will end at the end of the weekend. He will announce the winner on Today Monday.
