Season two of the dance reality drama Breaking Pointe continues as the professional ballet dancers of Ballet West anxiously await to hear their roles for their upcoming show Cinderella.

The dancers are onto their second week of auditions/rehearsals for Cinderella, and are very on edge as they all compete for the lead roles in the show. Last week’s drama between Beckanne, Chase, and Zach continues as Zach confesses he feels like Beckanne took his best friend away from him. Beckanne reveals that she has completely lost respect for Zach because of how nosy he is in her and Chase’s new relationship.

Zach and Ian, the two top students of the Ballet West 2 training program, continue to compete for a spot in the main company. They both aim to get a role in Cinderella because if they got a spot in the most important show that Ballet West will perform this season, they are almost guaranteed a spot in the company.

Meanwhile, Wendy Sommes, the ballet expert who is staging the show for them, is extremely particular about who and what she wants for the roles. She is trying to cast a Cinderella and winter fairies, the important roles for the women dancers, and Prince Charming and the cavaliers, the important roles for the male dancers.

Beckanne struggles with personal drama when Zach starts a rumor that her and Chase broke up when they did not. On top of that, she feels that Wendy does not like her and is having a hard time getting on her good side.

Allison continues to struggle over the decision of moving to be with her beloved boyfriend Jonathon in Detroit or staying in Salt Lake City and continuing her dance career with Ballet West. She accepts the fact that this very well may be her last ballet ever.

Josh, an African-American male dancer in the Ballet West 2 training company, is struggling to keep up with the rest of the dancers because he is naturally a hip-hop dancer and is fairly new to ballet. As Adam Sklute and Chris Ruud intensely observe the Ballet West 2 dancers, Josh continues to fall and become frustrated during class.

One of the injured dancers from last season is seeing improvement, while the other is not. Rex, who tore a tendon in his foot, is starting to be able to take classes fully again and is even practicing for Cinderella. Adam and Wendy worry about casting Rex since he has not fully bounced back from his injury just yet. Ronnie, who broke multiple parts of his ankle, is out for the season and is bored and anxious at home waiting to get back into the studio.

As Adam and Wendy go to dinner to discuss casting the roles for the show but have trouble deciding, Silver plans a surprise party at a bar for Liz, a first soloist in the company. The dancers try to let loose and have fun together despite their stress over the new show.

The episode ends with a confrontation between two couples. Beckanne and Chase go to Zach and his boyfriend Scott’s home to try and work out the recent drama between them, but the situation turns sour. As Zach expresses his concerns over their relationship, Scott takes his side and agrees that Beckanne and Chase’s relationship is toxic. Beckanne asks both of them to mind their own business and leave her and Chase’s relationship alone.
