Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps is taking to Twitter to defend naming her daughter Cricket.
E! News revealed the name of the actress newborn child with husband Marc Silversteen last night.
The interesting moniker wasn’t exactly received well. “Just when I thought North would be the worst baby name I heard all year, Busy Phillips goes ahead and names her daughter Cricket. Brilliant,” one Twitter responder wrote.
The 34-year-old actress, whose real name is Elizabeth Jean, took to Twitter to respond to her naysayers.
“It's weird people think my kids will be in therapy because of their names. Guys, my kids will be therapy for LOTS of reasons, I'm sure,” she wrote.
The Cougar Town actress and Silversteen welcomed baby Cricket Pearl on July 2. The couple is also parents to 4 ½ year old Birdie. She announced her newest bundle of joy on Twitter just as she announced her pregnancy.
