Booze, hook-ups, rivalries, fights, and budding relationships. No, you're not at a college party, you're at NBC's Camp.

The show premiered Wednesday night and introduced its viewers to the show's characters and camp, Little Otter Family Camp.

With campers running around excited to be at the scenic campgrounds surrounding a peaceful lake, Kip Wampler (Thom Green), an edgy and resistant teen in a dark hoodie, gets dropped off by his father. His dad reassures him that he's, "going to love it (here)." As Kip and his dad say good-bye, Kip and Marina Barker (Lily Sullivan), a fellow CIT(counselor-in-training), lock eyes and he is hypnotized by her flowing hair and shy smile. . . until a fish hook gets caught on Kip's nose ring.

Afterwards in the recreation hall, the viewers are introduced to Little Otter owner and director, Mack Granger (Rachel Griffiths). She is recently divorced after her husband cheated on her with a young, attractive Russian woman.

Along with trying to keep the struggling camp from going out of business, Mack has to take care of her son, Buzz Granger (Charles Grounds). Buzz is a goofball whose main goal for the Summer is to lose his virginity. However, having his advances to female campers denied and using offensive language in front of camper Grace (Charlotte Nicdao), the daughter of a same-sex couple, it doesn't seem likely that Buzz will achieve his goal anytime soon. Like Kip, he realizes he's an odd-man-out. Buzz wants to be with the older guys, not given the duty of being a kiddie counselor because he's the director's son. The two become quick friends.

Marina also feels left out, after being involved in a sexual scandal, she finds herself being rejected by the other girls. The feeling of not belonging (and some pot) bonds her, Kip and Buzz.

To add to Kip's sense of isolation, he gets picked on by a group of guys from Richfield Lodge, the upscale camp across the lake. Their conflict comes to a height when kip defends Marina after one of the guys hits on her and they get in a brawl.

In contrast to the budding relationship of Kip and Marina, senior counselors Robbie Matthews (Tim Pocock) and Sarah Brennen (Dena Kaplan), who met as kids at the camp, fall in love again each Summer. Once Sarah meets Miguel Santos, a successful writer, her and Robbie struggle to keep their relationship straight.

Along with dealing with her crumbling family, Mack must also address the rivalry and chemistry between her and Roger Shepard (Rodger Corser), the owner of Richfield Lodge. Their tension builds to new heights as the two hook-up, break up, and discuss the the buying and selling of Little Otter.

The rivalry between Mack and Roger is also apparent between her counselors and his campers. The Little Otter counselors steal equipment, beers and food from the upscale camp. In this moment, the bonds between the Little Otter family become stronger as the float away in a boat with their stolen prize.

All this happens as Mack seriously considers selling the camp after her son says that his dad "traded up" when he left her for the Russian woman. But after some soul-searching, an unplanned talent show and some encouragement from the counselors and campers of Little Otter, Mack decides not to sell her beloved home.

With a dramatic storyline, highly inappropriate and hilarious jokes, and developing relationships between characters, the viewers can expect to see a lot more drama, dirty punchlines, hook-ups, and camp rivalries.

Camp airs Wednesday nights at 10 on NBC.
