“Call Me Maybe” songstress Carly Rae Jepsen proved she has singing skills but lacks pitching skills when she threw out the first pitch at Houston Astros- Tampa Bay Rays game Sunday.
Jepsen’s pitch is noted as one of the worst, LA Times reports. The 27-year-old singer failed to throw the ball near the home plate circle and barely made the ball halfway to the mound. Canadian born Jepsen was seen smiling and blushing after her pitch.
According to Toronto Sun CBS baseball critic Dayn Perry called Jepsen’s pitching,“"possibly the worst ceremonial first pitch ever.” She has since been compared to Howard Stern’s radio producer BabaBooey, whose pitching skills were also less than desirable.
Despite the negative comments, Jepsen is laughing off the pitch with her family on Twittter.
“So apparently I made ESPN with my fail of a pitch. Lol- Daddy must be so proud,” she wrote. She followed by sharing a text conversation with her brother Colin:

Her sister Katy adds, “Look at the bright side @carlyraejepsen you're the first one in the family to make it on @espn #loveyou.”
