The 15th season of CBS’ Big Brother has come under scrutiny after contestants were recorded making racist and derogatory comments during the show’s 24-hour live feed. During Sunday night’s show, the network aired clips of Aaryn Gries’ insulting comments with the other houseguests slamming her.

TMZ reports that some of the comments that made it to last night’s episode include Gries’ remarks on Asians and black people, as well as one scene in which she calls a gay houseguest “queer.” Between the comments, CBS included remarks from other guests who criticize her and express their disgust at her remarks. However, they only say that the comments will “hurt” her in the game. They also say that criticizing her may hurt their own chances.

“Even when these comments are made in fun, they still hurt and are disrespectful, especially when that person isn't there to hear it and back themselves up,” houseguest Howard Overby says, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

Gries has already been fired by the modeling agency she works for. Gina Marie Zimmerman also lost her modeling job. TMZ reported that houseguest Spencer Clawson’s employer also said that he’s on unpaid leave while he takes part in the show.

Sunday night’s episode was the first time that CBS referenced the racist remarks. The network didn’t say a word about it during the July 3 episode.
