Cedars-Sinai Hospital has reportedly fired six of their employees, accused of hacking the medical records of the West Hollywood medical institution’s celebrity patients, including Kim Kardashian.

Fox News reports that that security breaches to the files occurred during Kardashian’s hospital stay after she gave birth to baby daughter North West on June 15. The records were reportedly accessed between June 18 and June 24.

While hospital spokespeople have not publicly identified the victims of the snooping, they have indicated that each of the victims has been personally contacted and notified of the breach in their medical privacy.

TMZ claims that a source close to the reality television star says she grew suspicious that her records had been accessed when information about her daughter’s birth, including the baby girl’s name, was leaked to the media.

Kardashian is reportedly glad that Cedars-Sinai contacted her and is pleased that the workers guilty of peeking at her medical information have been fired.

A similar scandal occurred in 2008, when a UCLA Health System worker was convicted of selling medical information to celebrity gossip magazines. UCLA was responsible for paying a $865,500 fine in the settlement regarding the hacked information.
