In Hollywood, celebrities are often the targets of the paparazzi because of their outrageous lifestyles. Thanks to the constant monitoring of their every day life, however, no good or (bad) deed goes unnoticed. Let’s take a look at the good deeds our idols have been up to recently.

After all, regardless of our occupation, we all share the will to make a difference in the world.

Zach Braff, star of Scrubs, helped a YouTube user and musician by the name of Matt Hulbert pop the big question to his girlfriend, Janice. Hulbert asked his girlfriend to play the YouTube video he has loaded on a computer – that’s when the magic happens. Braff, listening to one Hulbert’s own songs, illuminates the screen to carry on about his “friend’s” great choice in women despite his lack of becoming a rock star. Braff shows that just a few endearing words in front of a camera can brighten up someone’s life and be a memory to last forever. Notorious player, John Mayer, recently made headlines for something other than breaking women’s hearts. Mayer, accompanied by latest fling Katy Perry, entered Rudy’s Music in New York City to be greeted warmly by a group of devoted young fans. Upon meeting these 4 teenage girls, the couple conversed about their passion for music and much more – even posing for numerous photos with the fans. But that wasn’t it! One of the young women, Fermin (16), explains how Mayer casually asked which guitar in the store she liked the best, not knowing that upon his exit he had purchased it for her! A kind gesture by the singer that goes above and beyond a simple autograph.

British singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran, has designed a limited edition guitar line to help raise funds for a children's hospice. The LX1E Ed Sheeran Signature Edition instruments will be produced by acoustic guitar manufacturer C.F. Martin & Company. With all the royalties being allotted to East Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH), every guitar will feature the EACH logo and a plus symbol in reference to the singer's debut album. The 22 year-old comes from Suffolk, England, where EACH runs one of three hospices, so the cause is near and dear to his heart. An ever-grounded Sheeran goes to show that fame can also be used to touch the everyday people of our world.
