Our beloved Wolverine actor, Hugh Jackman, is getting himself back on stage again! Still hyped up on the success he garnered during his 2011 Broadway appearance in his one-man show in New York City and possibly by his Golden Globe snatch for Best Actor in a Musical (hurray!)- his follow-up is coming on October 12, 2013 at The Dolby Theatre.
His 2011 performance included tunes from "Oklahoma", "Carousel" and "The Boy From Oz" but highly anticipated tunes from "Les Miserables" was not present. However this year, Jackman promises surprises- possibly some tunes from Les Mis?
Jackman is once again performing on stage with the name Hugh Jackman... One Night Only. Interesting overtone if you ask me *wink wink*.
The best part about Jackman’s musical performance is that it benefits the Motion Picture and Television Fund which is a 92-year-old charity that provides essential health care, social services, child care and retirement services to the entertainment community.
He states, “Films, television and theatre have brought me great success throughout my career and it is one of my greatest pleasures to give back by putting on a show as a benefit to support MPTF.”
Tickets go on sale for the general public on August 9 via Tickermaster. To grab your tickets earlier, American Express is offering pre-sales that begin on July 26 at 10 AM PST. For more information, please visit www.HughJackmanLive.com.
