No matter what Chris Brown does, the R&B crooner just can't seem to stay on the right side of the law.
He is currently facing possible jail time after a judge revoked his probation on Monday for involvement in an alleged hit-and-run while driving without a license.
"I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run," Brown tweeted Monday morning. "I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!!"
The singer could face up to four years in jail on the probation violation. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin revoked Brown's probation and set a court date of August 16 to either resolve the issue or to set a hearing on the violation and from there dole out a fitting punishment, if necessary. According to The LA Times, such probation revocations require only a preponderance of the evidence compared to beyond a reasonable doubt for new criminal charges and are a far easier method to incarcerate a probationer.
As we reported, Brown is being accused of rear-ending a woman's Mercedes with a Range Rover in May. According to a district attorney's investigators report, Brown failed to produce his license and insurance information at the crash site, which is required by California law.
Brown, who was ordered to serve five years of probation, 1,400 hours of community service, and to complete domestic violence classes following his assault of former girlfriend Rihanna, was allowed to remain free, pending the hearing next month.
