Earlier today, the Monument Police Department issued a warrant for Beth Chapman, one of the stars of Dog and Beth: On the Hunt.

The warrant is for misdemeanor harassment.

"Nobody would be even remotely interested in this if it wasn't a celebrity," police spokesman Lt. Steve Burk told local newspaper the Gazette . "It was just a verbal altercation at the lake where Beth was yelling at the victim, according to the victim."

Police tried to reach Beth by phone before issuing the warrant.

The incident began on July 10 at a lake in Colorado. Beth and her family were fishing when a car raced past them. Beth is accused of calling the teen passenger a tramp – and worse.

There are two sides to every story.

Beth claims that the male driver had a gun.

“I wanted him to get away because as he was talking to me he had one hand on his firearm. I called Duane because the guy had a gun.” Beth told Radar Online . “My husband and I were there with our family, including very young children, when young woman in a car with a male driver came speeding dangerously close to where I was walking my dog and to where my children were standing.”

Beth called 911 to ask report the incident and asked questions about concealed weapons laws. Dog and Beth left the lake area. The police arrived soon after.

Police issued the warrant because they have not been able to contact Beth to get her side of the story.
