The death of Cory Monteith, the heartthrob from the hit TV show “Glee,” has devastated viewers everywhere. But nobody is more devastated than his father, who didn’t even get to view the body of his son.
Earlier this week, Moneith was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Vancouver due to a deadly mix of heroin and alcohol. Fox News reported that Monteith had been honest with the public and himself about his drug problem in the past and had been in and out of rehab. Apparently, after a night out drinking with his friends, Monteith went back to his hotel room where he shot up on his own.
TMZ reported earlier today that his body was cremated Tuesday after his mother, his brother Shaun and his on-and-off screen girlfriend Lea Michele viewed the body. His mother decided to cremate the body before his father, Joe Monteith had a chance to view the body of his son. He said that he was “totally devastated” and “shocked” by Cory’s use of heroin.
