Cory Monteith's death could possibly delay Glee's fifth season until November.

Although his sudden death has been hard to grasp, many fans are wondering how this could affect the FOX hit show.

The last we left off on Glee,it was mid-school year and Finn had become a mentor of the glee club before leaving to study to become a teacher like his role model Mr. Schuester. Season 5 was meant to continue the school season, however, writers wrote the first two episodes of season 5 just months ago and it's reported that Finn was to have a big part. Fox officials met Monday to discuss the next step of the show and how to handle Monteith's death, states NY Daily News

Gleewas supposed to premiere earlier this year on September 19 to beat most of the primetime baseball season scheduling but it looks like production will have to be pushed back at least a month to allow the cast and crew time to grieve. Afterall, Cory Monteith has been a part of the Glee Cast since 2009 when the show first premiered on the FOX network and became a huge hit.

Cory Monteith, 31, was found dead at his Vancouver hotel late Saturday night shocking everyone.

According to Hollywood Life reports, it's difficult to discuss the direction of the show until the grieving process subsides but it's very likely Glee will have a tribute episode and the season dedicated to the star, "Cory will have a never-ending connection to the legacy of the show; it will be handled delicately and with the utmost respect."

It goes unsaid that Monteith was large part of the show, his character Finn was the lead alongside his real-life girlfriend Lea Michele's character Rachel Berry for 3 seasons until their characters graduated. The pairing Finchel was also quite popular among the fans, they were like the 'Ross and Rachel' of the show.

How will Glee, Rachel and the rest of the New Directions be affected? Only time will decide as the cast and crew take some much needed time to deal with Cory Monteith's untimely death. How should the FOX Network juggle Glee and the sad news?
