Here's our daily wrap for Wednesday July 31st:

Lindsay Lohan left Cliffside Malibu Tuesday night but founder Richard Taite thinks she still needs more treatment. Taite wrote a letter to the judge in Lohan’s probation case recommending that Lohan take session three times a week for the next 16 months. The judge had agreed to the request.

JK Rowling reached a settlement in court today with the law firm that was responsible for revealing the author of The Cuckoo’s Calling’s true identity. The book had been published under a pseudonym that one of the firm’s partners, Chris Gossage, had disclosed to his wife’s friend, who was responsible for the Twitter account that broke the news. The money from the settlement will go to the Soldier’s Charity.

O.J. Simpson won’t be out of prison for at least a few more years, however he was granted parole on some of his convictions. Simpson was charged with kidnapping, robbery, burglary and assault with a deadly weapon in 2008. Simpson will in jail for at least four more years since his sentences are running consecutively.

Police have been ordered by the Egyptian government to break up pro-Morsi protests. These demonstrations have been going on since July 3rd and Egypt’s interim cabinet states that the demonstrations pose an “‘unacceptable threat’ to national security.”
