Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper has apologized after a video of him using the n-word at a Kenny Chesney concert at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field surfaced on Wednesday.

CrossingBroad.com first posted the video, showing Cooper promising to “fight every n***er here.” The same site had previously posted a video of Cooper getting into an argument at the same concert on June 8.

Cooper has since gone to Twitter to issue a lengthy apology.

“I am so ashamed and disgusted with myself,” Cooper wrote. “I want to apologize. I have been offensive. I have apologized to my coach, Jeffrey Lurie, and Howie roseman and to my teammates. I owe an apology to the fans and to this community. I am so ashamed, but there are no excuses. What I did [w]as wrong and I will accept the consequences.”

The concequences will be a fine from the team, NFL.com reported.

“We are shocked and appalled by Riley Cooper's words,” coach Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement released by the team. “This sort of behavior or attitude from anyone has no role in a civil society. He has accepted responsibility for his words and his actions. He has been fined for this incident.”
