To prepare for her role in the movie The Bling Ring, Emma Watson reportedly engaged in some method acting by creating a Tumblr blog for her character Nicki.
Styleite reports that the blog, titled under the name 'NickiMooreForever,' features an ugly zebra print background, a ton of horrible grammar, and celebrity-centered posts. One of the posts includes a montage of pictures of Lindsay Lohan, with "Nicki" writing, “Like me she is a very spiritual person and I know her faith will carry her through."
According to the Huffington Post, the Tumblr blog was created in March 2012 and only features 16 posts, many that sign off with word "Namaste."
Despite the obnoxious personality portrayed in the blog , Watson has expressed how different she is from her film character, which was based on Alexis Neiers, a real-life Bling Ring member.
"The character is everything that I felt strongly against -- she's superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral. She's all of these things and I realized that I hated her. How do you play someone you hate?" Watson told British GQ in May. "But I found it really interesting and it gave me a whole new insight into what my job, or my role as an actress, could be."
