The upcoming Emmys in September will have two major stars to pay tribute to - James Gandolfini and Cory Monteith. Emmy executive producer Ken Ehrlich said that they are working on how to pay tribute to the late Glee star, who died earlier this month.

In an interview with Deadline at the Television Critics Association Press Tour, Ehrlich said that it is early, but they are thinking of something like an “homage” to Monteith.

“If Cory had passed away in March, we’d have had four months to look at this with a little more perspective,” Ehrlich explained. “The reason we’re getting all of this discussion now is because he passed away two weeks ago. But we are going to deal with it.”

Nevertheless, he said that something for Monteith outside of the usual “In Memorium” part is possible.

Ehrlich’s comments come just after Monteith’s girlfriend, Lea Michele, finally broke her silence on Twitter. “Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart,” she wrote, including a picture of herself with Monteith.

Monteith died of a drug overdose on July 13. Fox has delayed production on Glee and the show will premiere a week later than previously planned.

The Emmys air on CBS on Sept. 22.
