Actor Corey Monteith was found dead at his Vancouver hotel room on Saturday.
The Glee star, 31, checked into the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel on July 6th. He was due to check out of the room on Saturday, but failed to check out at noon, according to Sky News. His body was discovered short after the check out time.
The Daily Mail reports, a video showed Monteith returning to his room alone the night before he died. Police are not expecting foul play in terms of cause of death. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Monteith is best known for starring in the hit show Glee, playing Finn Hudson. Executive produces of the show released a statement.
“Corey was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we all miss him tremendously. Out thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”
“I have no words! My heart is broken, Corey was not only a hell of a friend, he was one amazing man that I will hold close to my heart forever,” co-star Dot Marie Jones wrote on her Twitter.
Last month, Monteith successfully finished rehab for his substance abuse.
