James Franco announced over an Instagram video – in a pitch black room and his classic monotone voice – that he is next in line to get roasted on Comedy Central Roast.

The well-acclaimed thirty-five year old actor, director, novelist, and poet, joins celebrities victims from over the years ranging from Pamela Anderson, Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump, and David Hasselhoff to get the roast treatment.

Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s president of content development and original programming said, “If only James Franco was a more successful, multi-hyphenated, incessant creative risk taker in different media, he’d be the perfect person to roast. Oh well… I suppose we’ll just have to make do.”

From acting in big-name comedies such as Pineapple Express and newly released This Is the End,” to taking on serious roles in 127 Hours and Milk, to television roles such as General Hospital, and finally to debuting his poetry collection in April 2014 via Graywolf Press, it is safe to say the Renaissance-man will be full of roast material.

The question is, who will do the roasting? Variety composed a list of their top ten picks ranging from Anne Hathaway – noting their disaster Oscar hosting performance in 2011 – to his former NYU professor who sued Franco last year for allegedly making inaccurate public statements and calling him a “bully pulpit” of a celebrity (Franco won that law suit).

Who do you think should do the roast honor?
