Not only did James Gandolfini leave his family and friends a generous amount of money when he passed away, it’s now being revealed he left $50,000 to his friend, whose son has autism.

Doug Katz, an old college friend of the former Sopranos actor, said he was “shocked” that he was included in Gandolfini’s will.

Katz received a call from Deborah Lin, the actor’s widow. “He’s my son’s guardian angel,” Katz told The New York Post.

Katz also reveals that not only was Gandolfini generous to them posthumously, he said he was always offering to help in any way he could.
“He got him nutritional supplements, anything Andrew needed to help him lead a better life. Jim sponsored gymnastics for my son. He always said, ‘How can we help? How can we make it better?’ And none of it was lip service.”

“I’d rather have Jim alive than his money,” he added. “You could never meet a nicer guy in the world. He was the glue that kept us together.”
Most of Gandolfini’s estate went to his 13 year old son, Michael, but he also left money for his infant daughter, Liliana and his relatives.
