Though it is not yet confirmed that Jason Sudeikis is leaving behind his SNL days, the actor hints that he plans on moving forward with his career. Whether or not this means he is leaving his long-held spot on the show is still uncertain.
The recently engaged 37-year-old actor told Modern Luxury, “You never really leave that place, and it never leaves you. It’s an emotional journey getting through a season, much less the final one.”
Sudeikis has been an ensemble member of SNL for more than a decade. He is well known for his impersonations of Mitt Romney and recurring sketches such as “Two A-Holes” alongside Kristen Wiig. The Kansas City bred comedy actor also showcases his talents on the big screen. He starred in the hilarious movie Horrible Bosses and his upcoming movie We’re the Millers opens in August.
Back in May, Sudeikis told Barbara Walters on The View that he sincerely did not know if he would be returning to SNL.
If Sudeikis does end up leaving, he will be one of three long-term cast members to depart. It was announced a couple months ago that Bill Hader and Fred Armisen would no longer be returning.
