Glee star Jayma Mays, who plays Matthew Morrison’s wife on the show, has confirmed she’s leaving because she accepted a role on CBS’ The Millers.
Mays confirmed to Access Hollywood that this upcoming season will be her last.
While at the Smurfs 2 premiere, Mays said “This is going to be my last season.” She added, “I’m finishing up this season, so I’m not sure what direction and who’s coming on and who’s not.”
Mays isn’t the only one not returning to the show. Mark Salling, Heather Morris, Amber Riley and Harry Shum Jr. will also not be returning. Mays’ Emma Pillsbury married Morrison’s Will Scheuster on last season's finale.
Other changes to FOX’s Glee are the untimely death of one of its stars, Matthew Morrison, and American Idol alum Adam Lambert joining the cast.
Earlier this month, show co-creator Ryan Murphy confirmed on Twitter, "I am thrilled to announce that the super-talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall."
