Jennifer Aniston appears on the cover of the September issue of Glamour and in the issue, the We’re The Millers star talks to her co-star Jason Sudeikis about happiness and parental instincts.
Sudekis argued that women have better parental instincts, noting how maternal Aniston was with younger co-star Emma Roberts on set, but Aniston disagreed, citing her fiancé Justin Theroux.
"I think that's just you! I know Justin, for instance, has extremely amazing paternal instincts. Because [growing up] he had to sort of become the parent. I think when you have to become the parent when you're a younger person, you learn those instincts,” she explained.
Hinting at unhappiness with herself when she was married to Brad Pitt in her thirties, Aniston said when Sudeikis asked what she would do differently during those years, she said she would’ve gone to therapy.
"Thirties. Go to therapy. Clean up all of the s--t. Clean up all of the toxins and the noise. Understand who you are. Educate yourself on the self." She added, "You can undo a lot of things. If you're not happy, you can become happy. Happiness is a choice. That's the thing I really feel. Like with friends who refuse to get happy, who refuse to rise above the discomfort of where they're at,” she said, Us Weekly reports.
Aniston said of both finding happiness with Theroux and Sudeikis finding love with his fiancé Olivia Wilde, "You actually deserve to have a family. And once you meet yourself, and truly love yourself, then you attract that. And look -- I mean, the two of us have found these two, beautiful, loving, open people."
