Now that Selena Gomez has broken up with Justin Bieber, does that mean she will make the moves on her old crush, Jesse McCartney?
According to TheCelebrityCafe.com, when 21-year-old Selena was still dating Justin, she understood why his fans acted the way they did when they were together.
“I get it. You know what’s funny? I did a movie with Katie Cassidy. But when I was 13, I hated her because she dated Jesse McCartney,” Selena said. “I was in love with Jesse McCartney. And he was with Katie Cassidy and it was the end of the world for me.”
This was back in 2011, but when Access Hollywood recently asked 26-year-old Jesse McCartney what he thought of Selena’s revelation, he was not quick to make the move on Selena.
“That’s very flattering. I love Selena. She’s amazing, she’s a great little singer,” Jesse praised the “Come & Get It” singer.
Even though the age difference would have been awkward in the past, the singer songwriter acknowledged, “Doesn’t seem that far off now…Well, who knows? I don’t want to upset the Biebs. I’ve met him a couple of times.”
Jesse added, “Selena is a sweetie. I met her like a month ago at a studio. She’s very sweet.”
