Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, we were treated with a new song from the Lonely Island. The Emmy nominated show, featured the boys new single YOLO. The song originally features Adam Lavine and Kendrick Lamar. However, since they were at the late show, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots sang along. Jimmy is a great singer, putting humor aside. He is genuinely not bad. The Roots are phenomenal as is so they just brought their own mix to the song.

The boys bring humor and catchy lyrics. As many may know, YOLO means, You Only Live Once. The song goes around those lines. Some lyrics are, “You know that we are still young. So don't be dumb. Don't trust anyone, Cause you only live once.” Even though the song is named after the catchy phrase, you only live once, it mostly talks about not following that saying. For example another lyric, “Board your windows up the sun is bad for your health. And always wear a straight jacket so your safe from yourself.” Regardless of what the lyrics mean or don’t mean the song is hilarious. Jimmy and Roots were awesome. The fact that the Lonely Island started as a skit on SNL, and now have multiple hit singles. Their new album called The Wack Album is now available for purchase!

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights 12;35 ET on NBC.
