After spending Fourth of July together, John Mayer showed his love for Katy Perry by dedicating a song to her at his show on Saturday night.
It was the kick-off of his tour at Milwaukee's Marcus Amphitheatre, and it marked the first headlining tour performance since his throat surgery last August.
Mayer dedicated his song "A Face To Call Home" to Perry, telling the audience it was dedicated to "Katy, who is my face to call home,” Us Weekly reports.
He also recalled that the “Part of Me” singer would order him food when he couldn’t speak and "She was so patient. [She took the time] to continue to get to know me and love me."
The song is on his Born and Raised album, which came out in May 2012 when Perry was still married to Brand. Some of its lyrics include, “You know my paper heart/The one I filled with pencil marks/I think I might've gone and inked you in/Little by little, inch by inch/We built a yard with a garden in the middle of it/It ain't much but it's a start/You got me swaying right along to the song in your heart/And a face to call home/A face to call home/You got a face to call home."
After a few break ups, they seem to be back together now. Perry posted a picture of the two on Instagram.
