John Mayer started his tour at Milwaukee's Marcus Amphitheater on Saturday, where he dedicated his final song to his on-again girlfriend, Katy Perry.

Mayer opened the concert by saying, "I've spent many, many months dreaming of this night.” Mayer, 35, had throat surgery last August; Saturday was his first headlining show since the operation.
According to Rolling Stone, the musician’s next album “Paradise Valley” is set to release August 13th.

UsWeekly reported that Mayer closed the concert with the song “A Face To Call Home” saying the song was for “"Katy, who is my face to call home.” Mayer thanked Perry for helping him through his recovery, telling the audience how she would order him food when he couldn’t talk “She was so patient. [She took the time] to continue to get to know me and love me," he said.

Perry and Mayer broke up in March, the 28-year-old singer opened up to Vogue about their break-up, “I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him,” she said. “Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds.” The couple were spotted together June 24 at the Friars Foundation Awards Gala
