Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler of The Big Bang Theory, (better known to some as “Shamy”) are the on-air romance everyone wants to know more about. This week at Comic-Con, actors from the hit CBS series made a surprise visit where they dished on the upcoming season and gave insight as to what is next for “Shamy.”
According to CNN, Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski) made a surprise visit to Comic-Con while Stephen Hawking, who has guest appeared on the show, recorded himself singing the show’s theme song to kick things off.
According to Kpopstarz, during the opening statements of the panel, a Comic-Con fan wearing a Star Wars costume head to toe demanded an explanation as to why writers say Johnny Galecki is difficult to work with. When Rauch pressed who is under the mask, Galecki revealed himself saying, “Someone who loves you!” and jumped on stage to join his fellow Big Bang Theory allies.
During their time at Comic-Con, the writers, actors and producers confirmed that Leonard will take Hawking’s offer to travel on an expedition to the North Sea, Raj (played by Kunal Nayyer's ) will learn to talk to women while sober and Bernadette and Amy (Mayim Bialik) will take a trip without Penny (Kaley Cuoco), but the most pressing questions of the afternoon, will Sheldon actually allow Amy to touch him enough to consummate their relationship?
Writer SteveHolland responded, “I’ll use Sheldon’s words and say ‘It’s a possibility.’”
Adds creator/producer Bill Prady, "I think part of the charm of their relationship is this glacial pace.I think there's such a sweetness to that. I think one of the virtues is how long it lasts. And it also means the show can last a lot longer."
The Big Bang Theory returns September 26.
