A judge has just ruled to keep Amanda Bynes in psychiatric hold for an additional two weeks.
According to TMZ, a judge presided over the hearing inside the hospital where the former What I Like About You actress is being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold after setting fire to a woman’s driveway in Thousand Oaks, CA. Tuesday. Bynes’ lawyer reportedly argued that his client should be set free when the 72 hour mark expires later tonight, but a judge ruled that Bynes is still at risk of harming herself and others and demanded that she reside in the hospital for an additional two weeks so doctors can properly diagnose her.
The news of her staying comes after reports that Bynes, 27, is showing signs of ”Schizophrenic tendencies.”
Currently her parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, are seeking a temporary court order conservatorship over their daughter’s financial and personal affairs, E! News reports. A judge has not officially ruled on the conservatorship.
