Kanye West’s collection with French label A.P.C. has sold out within seconds. West’s menswear collection was available starting yesterday and is already unavailable. It is, however, available on pre-order as they rush to produce more.
As we previously reported, West and A.P.C. confirmed their long-rumored collaboration last week, with West tweeting “Thank you Jean Touitou for letting me create with you,” and the brand writing “A.P.C. KANYE CAPSULE COLLECTION JULY 14” on their official Twitter account.
There are only seven pieces in the collection, ranging from a $120 shirt to a $280 hoodie and $265 jeans.
Touitou spoke with Style.com about their collaboration, and hinted he might’ve been a handful.
“The devil was in theoretical discussion, not in details,” he said. “When you deal with a guy who wants to redesign just about anything so it could fit [into the] kingdom of dopeness, it takes some time to just sit and say, “Okay, agreed, but let’s get start on something limited, and we’ll see.”
He added, “I am not into the celebrity thing. The only celebrities who impress me are writers. I follow no god, no celeb, no master, no myth.”
