Kate Moss, famous English supermodel, will have several iconic photos debuting at renowned Christie’s auction house. The sale, announced Wednesday, July 3rd, will take place on September 25th in London. The collection will feature famous images of the 39-year-old model, as well as lesser known but equally striking ones.

According to The Associated Press, the images being auctioned include famous portraits by photographers Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, Bruce Weber, Sam Taylor-Wood, and Irving Penn. One of her most famous shots, a bronze glitter photo done by Allen Jones, is among those up for auction. Collectively, the photos, which were assembled by German collector Gert Elfering, are valued at $1.5 million. Elfering called Moss “a living icon” and said, “Kate is the ultimate modern muse and we will be seeing her images in major museums and private collections for years to come.”

Mail Online lists several of the photos that will be auctioned and the price at which they are valued. Santé D'Orazio's stunning photo of Kate Moss on a lounge chair in Glen Cove, New York in1995 is valued at $29,800 to $44,700. Elfering stated that, “As I saw the collection taking shape, I was delighted by the variety and the consistent power of the works, and I have already enjoyed seeing the positive reaction in the faces of others when they first see them.” His enthusiasm about the collection is evident and rightfully so. Moss rose to fame in the 1990s as part of the heroic chic trend and continues to be influential today.
