There is no denying that Katy Perry is an absolute beauty, but her stunning look doesn’t happen easily. The “One That Got Away” singer admits that it takes an hour and a half to do just her makeup in a new interview with Women’s Wear Daily.
“I’m a product whore, I have a [beauty] regimen that spans an hour and a half, and nothing goes out of order,” she explains in the interview.
Perry, who is currently promoting the release of her newest fragrance “Killer Queen,” explains that she used her daily regiment with makeup as the groundwork in creating a perfect new scent.
“There isn’t any point for me to put out something that doesn’t stand out,” she notes as quoted by People.
Perry tells WWD that the scent is much like her music, saying, “Killer Queen is powerful, edgy, sophisticated — and that’s exactly where I’m trying to be now with my music…There were two different aspects in creating the fragrance. It’s almost like [using] two different parts of your brain — the packaging and bottle and marketing, but essentially all that doesn’t matter unless you have the juice.”
Perry is currently working on a more mature vibe for her upcoming album, but would not reveal any details. Stay tuned!
