Kirstie Alley is blasting reports that she is upset with longtime friend Leah Remini following her very public exit from the Church of Scientology.
The reports stemmed from a blog post from Tony Ortega, who stated that Alley was livid with the King of Queens actress for leaving the church. Ortega states that Alley as well as other high profile celebrities in the church gathered to figure out what they would do about Remini’s leaving.
The reports were seemingly confirmed with Alley’s Twitter blasts. “When faced w malicious gossip I take a moment to experience the loss of the person I thought was my friend... Then I say f--k em..:) #RISE,” she wrote. “[T]he sweetest poison is often served with a smile...beware syrup,” she later added.
However, Page Six is reporting that Alley has since returned to Twitter to blast media outlets and clear the air.
“[L]ying news outlets. I do NOT care what religion ANYONE is or isn't. I respect religions & would fight for your freedom as well as mine,” she tweeted Tuesday. She later added, “thank U lying "news" outlets for thinking I have ESP & write tweets "BEFORE" events OCCUR.I accept that compliment. Ur "sources" don't exist.”
