Actress and Church of Scientology member Kirstie Alley is speaking out about sitcom star Leah Remini’s public exit from the church.

The Jenny Craig spokeswoman took to Twitter to express frustration with an unnamed “friend,” writing, “When faced w malicious gossip I take a moment to experience the loss of a person I thought was my friend . . Then I say f--k em . . . : ) #Rise"

Us Weekly reports that Alley followed the 160-character harshness by publishing, "The sweetest poison is often served with a smile . . . beware syrup."

Blogger and Scientologist Tony Ortega suggested in a blog post that these tweets by the 62-year-old were aimed at Remini, with whom Alley is “livid”. Ortega also suggested that, upon hearing of Remini’s departure, Alley called Church officials, inquiring as to how they would handle Remini’s public bashing of Scientology.

"Our sources tell us that Alley worked the phones that day, raising a stink with the personnel at the Hollywood Celebrity Centre — what were church officials going to do about Remini’s defection?" Ortega wrote, The Huffington Post reports. "A meeting was called for Alley and other celebrities to get a briefing from church executives about what was going on and what they planned to do about it."

"You're so vain . . You probably think my tweets are about you,” Alley has since tweeted, seeming to refer to the supposed feud. “Don't you don't you don't you ? .....they're not.”

The Emmy-winning actress then advised fans about gossip circulating around the Internet.

Alley has credited her successful rehabilitation from a cocaine addiction to entering the Church of Scientology and reading Dianetics , the book by L. Ron Hubbard on which the institution is based.
