Veronica Mars is battling it out with Leslie Knope this fall! Kristen Bell, the 32 year old actress whose current project includes the Veronica Mars movie, will be guest-starring alongside Amy Poehler for the upcoming sixth season of Parks and Recreation.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Bell will play Ingrid, a snooty City Councilwoman from Eagleton. Ingrid and Leslie will meet up at the annual Pawnee-Eagleton high school basketball game – however, don’t expect the two lovely ladies to be pals! Executive producer Michael Schur describes Ingrid as “Leslie’s equivalent, but richer and better dressed.”
Bell previously worked with Parks and Recreation star Adam Scott in an episode of Veronica Mars and Party Down. Currently, Bell stars with another frequent Parks and Recreation guest star, Ben Schwartz, on Showtime’s House of Lies.
Parks and Recreation will return to NBC this fall in what is most likely to be the show’s last season. Fans were afraid that the fifth season would be the last season with Leslie Knoppe & co., as the finale was wrapped up all the season’s major storylines. However, a sixth season was green-lighted for the 2013-2014 season. Kristen Bell’s episode will air in October.
