Another day, another senseless celebrity hoax. "That's So Raven" star Kyle Massey was the victim of a hoax stating he was dying of cancer. The rumor began circulating this past weekend and Massey took it quite personally.
According to HuffingtonPost, “We are not sure where this rumor started, but we would like to put a stop to it immediately,” his rep for the "Dancing With the Stars" alum tells JustJared.com. “This is a very serious disease and he’s upset that someone would make light of such a serious subject. He has been affected personally from the disease as he has had family members who have passed away from cancer.”
This isn't the first time a celebrity was targeted by a hoax rumor. However, the topic of cancer hit Massey hard since his family has ties with this sickness.
"Cancer is a disease that is very personal to me and my family. I have had 2 uncles and a very dear friend who passed away in the last two years from cancer and my Granddad currently has prostate cancer and my Grandmother is currently in a nursing home because of Alzheimer's Disease," Massey says on JustJared.
So far, no one knows who started this nasty rumor, but the reports are untrue!
Massey stated the hoax was "classless" especially with the Trayvon Martin verdict and the passing of "Glee" star Cory Monteith.
