Lea Michele released a statement on her twitter today for the first time since her boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith passed away.
In her tweet from this afternoon, the 26-year-old actress posted a photo of herself and Monteith at the beach along with a statement expressing gratitude for the support she has been given these past few weeks.

After acting together since season one of Glee, Michele and Monteith began publicly dating in 2012, according to CNN. Michele continued to give Monteith love and support when he checked himself into rehab for substance abuse earlier this year.
The happy couple had planned on starting a life together before Monteith’s shocking death. A source told US Weekly, “Lea and Cory were planning on moving in together after he got back from Vancouver. They were 100 percent happy and together and in love at the time of his death.”
Monteith was found dead on July 13 in a Vancouver hotel room from an accidental overdoes of heroin and alcohol.
