Leah Remini made headlines when she announced her departure from the Church of Scientology earlier this month and she’s now speaking out about cutting ties with the controversial church.
Remini was in Malibu at the 15th Annual DesignCare benefit, her first public appearance since making her shocking announcement.
The King of Queens star was asked if she was happy now that she left the church and she told Us Weekly, "Happy is a relative word. Yeah. It's a time of change."
She also said about the support from her family, "I think the fact that my family has taken a stance and we are on a united front says a lot."
So could she be getting a reality show on her life after leaving Scientology? She talked about her future plans and she said "I'm deciding to do something right now and we'll know in the next week. It will be television. It might be in the reality, sitcom world."
Remini reportedly left the church after questioning Church leader David Miscavige.
