Lisa Jackson is speaking out following reports that Paula Deen’s empire is falling down simply because of her use of the racial slur, the ‘n-word.’

Deen admitted to using the racial slur in a deposition back in May, which was only recently revealed by the National Enquirer. Shortly thereafter, Deen saw her career crumble before her very eyes with the Food Network opting to not renew her contract, and retail outlets Walmart, Sears, Caesars Entertainment, Home Depot, QVC, Kmart, JcPenny and Target all dropped Deen’s products from their line.

Jackson is speaking out once again telling CNN in a statement, “This lawsuit has never been about the N-word. It is to address Ms. Deen's patterns of disrespect and degradation of people that she deems to be inferior. I may be a white woman, but I could no longer tolerate her abuse of power as a business owner, nor her condonation of Mr. Hier's despicable behavior on a day-to-day basis. I am what I am, and I am a human being that cares about all races, and that is why I feel it is important to be the voice for those who are too afraid to use theirs."

Deen has since apologized publically during an interview with the Today show. Despite her apologies, Ballentine Books cancelled its five book deals with the southern chef.
